And now, get a creche
 at your doorstep
If you thought gyms, swimming pools, clubs and libraries were the only fancy amenities in the new housing complexes coming up in Kolkata, there are more. Many of the newer residential projects will now have creches as an additional accessory for residents.
These creches promise to have all the standard facilities. Moreover, these are also meant to inculcate a sense of communal harmony as the children grow up together.

“These creches will have tie-up with a professionally run creche. There will be trained teachers so that the parents are assured that their little ones are in safe hands," said real estate agent Samrat Pal, who is handling a couple of such projects featuring creches. Besides wooing property buyers, the whole idea is to make life easier for working parents. Since many of the buyers of these new flats are working couples with children, it would give them an alternative to keeping an attendant. While most of these creches attend to children between 10 and 6 pm, the usual office hours, some of the creches are also going to house play-schools.
According to real estate developers in the city, creches are becoming one of the most sought after amenities among property buyers. “These creches will be maintained by the facility management company of the particular apartment," said developer Harish Singhania. And for the buyers, it''s a blessing in disguise. “Having a creche within the complex is a dream-come-true. I am only short-listing those properties which have creches because I want my two-year-old daughter to be properly cared for," said Sourabh Dasgupta, an engineer, who intends to buy an apartment soon.
